General:
Aeolus is a
Richards’ inspired design. I say ‘inspired’ since she falls into that
time period when Richards was no longer the official designer for Cheoy
Lee and Cheoy Lee made subtle changes to the design. However, she
reflects his attention to cruising design and detail with varnished teak
interior, spacious accommodations, U-shaped fold down table
and other design features found in his Offshore 41. Many owners list
their 1979 – 1981 Cheoy Lee 41 as a Richards 41 indicating that they are
virtually indistinguishable. She is a comfortable live aboard cruiser
for family or couple cruising. Aeolus was bought new by the
current owner from Graves Yacht Yard in Marblehead, Mass in 1980. Under
single ownership for the last 27 years, she is ready for a new owner.
