Hi James,
I have visited your site many
times before and after I purchased my Offshore 40,
a few years ago. Her name is Restless Wind and she is listed on the
Reliant/Offshore
40 owners site.
I purchased her as a
retirement project, and as I am sure has happened many times, I
was never able to get to it. Times have become tight and I can no
longer afford to store
the boat, knowing there is no opportunity in sight for me to ever get
to her. The boat was in
need of restoration when I bought her, but was usable and the engine
ran well. She has
been on the hard at a storage unit in Plano, TX, since that time
waiting on me.
I have finally come to the
realization that she needs a better home and I would like to do
the right thing by her and give her to someone that will bring her
back to the beautiful boat
that she once was. The only thing I would appreciate would be for her
to retain her current name,
the one she had when I acquired her.
Thank you,
Jim Lloyd
Offshore 40, 1970,
purchased as retirement project approx. three yrs ago. Circumstances
prevent following through with that plan and must now give her up.
Boat was sailable
when taken out of the water, but is now 'on the hard', in storage,
awaiting total refit. Boat has had a below the waterline gel coat
peel and needs a bottom job. Some soft areas in the deck, but still
useable until renovated. Mast and booms in storage and will require
rigging.
Offered as is where is for $5,000 or best offer. Must give up as we
can no longer afford storage costs.
For this low price, I would make one request, that is that 'Restless
Wind' be allowed to keep her name. She has circumnavigated and paid
her dues. Renovated, she will make someone a beautiful boat.
