21879, ). This sailing ship was ordered by Mr. E.t. Salgo
(American of Houston living with Honk-Hong). 1968_1973: navigation
at sea of China 1971 _ Inscription with the register of the RORC
under n° RORC 875 in order to take part in the race Sydney
- Hobart. 1975 _ 1977: Departure of Honk - Hong to join Méditerrannée
while passing by Indonesia, Ceylon, Red Sea, Greece and Malta.
1977 _ RANGOON LADY II changes owner and is francized in Nice 1977
_ 1979: Mr. Richard Curtil, his new owner navigate in Mediterrannée.
1979_1999: Mr. Ragaz repurchases RANGOON LADY II and during 20
years will navigate in Méditerrannée. It amongst other things,
took part in the gathering of " Nioulargue " with Saint
Tropez (I do not know the exact year). 1999 _ Séduit by this boat
let us buy we it in July 1999 with for prime objective that it
takes us along to Brest in order to take part in our gathering as
we regularly do it with joy since DZ 88 on friendly boats. For 33
years, we have been thus the fourth owners of this sailing ship.

1/08 Mauritai now is being restored to her former glory. The
rudder has repair and covered with an extra layer of heavy
fiberglass. The mast is about to pulled and refinished and all new
halyards installed. The teak cabin sides, window bezels, and decks
will be replaced in the next two years.
1/12 The original Sparlite mast has been stripped, welded,
straightened, and refinished. New custom mast head and new custom
shoe fabricated and installed. Upgraded to Harken track. Currently
rebuilding the auto pilot and designing new mounting features for
the fuel tank. |

PANDIAN: Sailboat Cheoy Lee Empire
Offschore 40, 12.30 meters long by 3.30 inwide and 2 draft, made
from No. 2374 in 1970.
Since then he has sailed through waters Greek, Turkish and now in
Spain. Its current base is in the port of Palamos (Girona), in the
heart of the Costa Brava (Catalonia). I'm still recovering the
entire ship and being a pleasure for me to fix everything , from
wood to mechanics. I'm still impressed by the quality of the
materials of its construction. It is unique.
Sailing with him is a pleasure with any wind. It is a brave and fast
boat. I applied some inventions like the mizzen fold and more are
being done.
This boat was filmed in the movie "The Golden keel" with Alain Delon
and Brigitte Bardot ( 1980), in the Mediterranean area.

The Alondra of London, an 60 ft aft
cockpit sloop was designed by the world famous Philip Rhodes,
completed in 1965 , totally teak(!) by famous yacht builder Cheoy
Lee in Hong Kong
She was built for an American entrepreneur who used her for many
regatta’s in the US, Antigua and Caribbean waters. Today, after 40
years and circumnavigating the world twice she has not lost any of
her original splendor and with her gracious lines she belongs even
now to the most beautifully sailing yachts ever built.
